It's not either/or. I give to my local abortion fund because I believe in pre-viability abortion on demand without reason or apology. I give to Democratic candidates and organizations because I want them to get elected. Paying for death row lawyers will not win you a critical mass of votes.

If it were up to me, it would be to obstruct in any way possible until we get the House back (ideally in 2026, Senate is too far-fetched right now). That means using state governments, courts, and the filibuster, while investing in comms and field to highlight the fight and what we'd do differently.

Reviewing what failed in the most recent election and how to make their candidates more electable is critical to any political party out of power. Spending on medical procedures and lawyers for non-voters is noble (I contribute to a local abortion fund myself) but inappropriate for party funds.
