I’ve had a terribly long week. Lots of changes, lots of adjustments and processing. And the work begins again. But sitting down to read this reminds me why I love music and literature and why I’m training to be a researcher and teacher.

Morbidly fascinated with the idea of the thought terminating cliche becoming a thought terminating cliche

Oh totally. I just haven’t read as many of them yet, since tuning (my current focus) doesn’t seem to come up quite as much or as explicitly

“Renaissance scholars need to analyze more that just Lasso’s Prophetiae Sibyllarum,” I say as I subtly slide my own analysis underneath a pile of papers on my desk

Also, I grew up watching way too many shows with genre episodes, so for me this is no different than when Teen Titans did a death race episode starting the briefcase from Pulp Fiction

Might be in the minority here, but I’m kinda excited for the new MtG set Aetherdrift? They’re playing in the space and we’re getting some fresh takes on energy and artifacts.

Hi, new members! I’m a music theorist and amateur haiku writer. Famously anxious, frequently depressed.

Now, haiku isn’t meant to be reliant on a ton of literary references, so the poem needs to stand on its own. That said, it turns out the extended edition of Twilight is a little over five minutes longer than the original, so 🤷‍♂️
