These flashbacks are really torturing me bc I can see what the author is doing. Also "I hate you, Chu Wanning. I really hate you so much. But you're all I have left.", that is extremely sad and I am not ready for the moment he can feel like CW is everything for him in the present, with less angst.

Had no idea what I was getting myself into. Didn't like Mo Ran for obvious reasons, cause wdym.

Started taking notes at page 76 when "When his Shizun died, Mo Ran's hatred had been buried - along with something else that he couldn't quite put his finger on".

I did, thank you so much for mentioning it! When I started reading it I thought it would be a bit much, but my ao3 has seen worse somehow. Also, I am currently finishing vol 6, and really enjoying it so far. Very worried about the future tho. Not ready for whatever might unfold...
