I've been working (or not) on the rainbow stripes for a while. They are all from from Summer Lee's, The Sock Project, knitted in Mile Wide Crafts organic fingering cotton (Rainbow Sparkles color) and Kroy yarn from Patton.

I've been seeing that some people do cables without cable needles, but it sounds like you do them similar to how I do them. I generally use a dpn to hold my cable stitches.

What method do you use to do your cables?

It's really mood dependant for me.

The yarn is dyed with marigolds.

Hand spun lemon yellow yarn wound in a layered star pattern on a spindle with 4 arms.

I saw a video on pretty spindle wrap techniques and decided to try one for this Turkish spindle. It's taken some practice, but I really like how this came out. Hopefully, you can see the yellow on yellow pattern. 😁🤩

Just a quick update to say that the original video has been removed and an apology has been issued. Like others, I hope that @hankgreen.bsky.social puts out a far better version of the original video, which had potential. Enough other creators have reacted to make improvements easier. 😉

I add a stitch marker to the sleeve when I decrease (or increase). It's easy to count how many I've done.

There are many. As a start, consider how you hold your hook. Most people use either a knife grip or a pencil grip, so search for ___ grip on YouTube. Also look for ergonomic crochet suggestions.
