One of a few dish clothes I made from this yarn (cotton, hemp blend from Patton). We've been enjoying using them.
This is gorgeous!

Adorable!

15.07.2025 23:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've started this summer sweater. According to my usual methods, it ought to be done about the first frost, here... :) Anyway, not much to show yet, but it's hand dyed blue. It's the Summer Halo sweater from Drops design. #showmeyourknits #handdyed #indiedyed #indiedyedyarn
14.07.2025 03:42 β π 22 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0This looks fascinating. Might have to add it to my list.
13.07.2025 02:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I also chose not to change colors, as this hat already has plenty. π
12.07.2025 15:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just finished this sample last night; though, I may add a pompom later.
It's Mile Wide Crafts hand dyed yarn (sport weight organic cotton, Rainbow Speckle color).
The pattern is the Freedom hat by House of Buddleia. #HoBfreedomcollection #HoBfreedomhat
Thanks! I expect the yarn twist would make a difference, but the two sweaters have completely different fiber content. Looser tension may help, too
12.07.2025 14:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It seems like it should, but it doesn't. I've done socks this way that do go bias but they straighten as they are worn. I think the weight of the sweater may help. Sleeves and heels, etc. help. Maybe color work, too?
I finished another in wool this way and it's fine too. We'll see after washing...
Thank you for your concern. The twisted stitches were intentional. I like the distinctive pattern they give and the extra ease. Lopi patterns tend to run narrow and the recipient is broad, muscular and still growing. Additionally, the yarn is not wool and doesn't stretch.
12.07.2025 01:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks. I changed the colors and made a couple modifications, but it's basically a vintage Lopi pattern.
12.07.2025 00:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Just finished this in time for the hottest part of the year. ππ₯πποΈπ‘οΈποΈ #Showmeyourknits

08.07.2025 02:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Getting ready for Colchester Farmers Market tomorrow (Colchester, CT 9-1 on the green). I'll have other items as well, but I thought you'd all like some eye (needle?) candy.

If one can't win honestly in politics, this is the alternative.
30.06.2025 19:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I read this as anti-autocorrect on the first time through. I'm not sure that I was entirely wrong. :)
Seriously though, nuance is needed as a part of this discussion. This is a continuum rather than a dichotomy, and grey areas may be necessary habitat for people with complicated lives.
