After tonight’s first-half display, I was beginning to wonder if tired was the right description, certainly jaded! But after the second-half display from the kids, electric would be a better description.

Letting Malen go so early in the window looks odd. Villa without McGinn are weak. The midfield looks so hollow. Lots of work to do now to stop all the good work from unraveling.

The label on My Bloody Valentine’s t-shirt.

I’ve just noticed a nice detail on my daughter’s new Feed Me With Your Kiss t-shirt from the My Bloody Valentine gig. The label on the back says established 2804. Desperately hoping that’s a nod to the fact that MBV’s music still sounds hundreds of years in the future.
