I think it's also a matter of perspective and experience. I suppose I could do tests where my mistakes have been recurrent and where I perceive there could be a greater risk of failure.
Because yep... testing isn't free! it requires investment of time, emotion, effort and money.

I'm not used to do tests, I just jump into doing whatever it is. Sometimes the result is as expected and other times it is not and I have regretted not making tests many times. I want to improve that, I want to do tests from now on. I'm curious about other makers' processes ๐บ
