Yes! This event is open to all queer authors.

We certainly understand the concern, and we recognize that this policy change may not appeal to all participants.

Of course, as with our peer events, images and moodboards are not required to participate. However, these can be designed/created with free tools like Canva for anyone interested.

In the past when images were banned, we found that many participants would use them anyway and see their pitches get greater attention than those who had followed the rules.

Because we don't have a way to prevent this happening, it seemed fairer to allow everyone to use images if they choose to.

Yes! Your genre hashtag for a Graphic novel in your pitch will be #GN 😊 Hope that helps!

5) ONLY industry professionals may "like" pitches.

Other writers may show support for pitches by commenting and retweeting/posting. However, other writers should not like pitches.

We ask that industry professionals who are also writers refrain from pitching during this event.

2) A BIG change this year is that images/moodboards are allowed with your pitches! 📸🖼

Please make sure to use Alt text so that your pitches will be accessible on the day of the event.

1) The event runs from 8 AM to 8 PM Eastern time on BOTH Twitter and BlueSky! Make sure to use the hashtag #QueerPit

Writers may only pitch once per hour, with up to 4 pitches per manuscript on each platform. You do not have to post on both platforms!
