With the departures of Max Fried and now Charlie Morton this winter, the #Braves have lost roughly 60 starts and 340 innings from their 2024 rotation.

Even with the eventual return of Spencer Strider, Atlanta has a clear need for at least one more proven and/or dependable starter.

Charlie Morton will indeed pitch for an 18th season, but it will be for the Orioles in 2025.

After a 4-year stint with the #Braves, Morton, 41, gets $15 million from Baltimore.

He'll stay in the East and train in Sarasota – close to their family home in Bradenton.

So, we may not ring in the New Year with a flurry of #Braves transactions, but I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for following along, subscribing, interacting with, and otherwise supporting my work in 2024.

This was my 20th season in baseball, so here's to 20 more?!

Well, it's Thanksgiving, which for many means gathering together, enjoying a great meal, and what not.
