I’m a lot less active on this site than I used to be. I really like it here, but there is just so much fewer people and so much less engagement here, even for a small account.

I’d like to come back, but is anyone still here?

I haven’t posted here in a while, so I thought I might post a couple of huge recent additions to my comic book collection: Tales to Astonish #44 and #35! First appearances of The Wasp and Ant-Man (not Hank himself) respectively! Both personal grails I’m so excited to get!

I was devastated to learn today that my local FYE is going out of business. I love that store.

That said, I did get some incredible deals on a stack of DVDs and Blu-Rays, which was nice!

Definitely a spooky aesthetic. Not a full horror one, but a Halloween-y theme with colorful ghosts and ghouls. Something along the lines of Luigi’s Mansion or MediEvil.

Confession. Ever since I was a kid, the “The End” screen from Super Mario World has been slightly… unsettling to me. I think it’s just all the characters being slightly off-model staring blankly at the camera in a black void, but even today as an adult, it just feels off.

I’ve got so many books I want to read, but I’m already reading two books and they’d both qualify for the longest book I’ve ever read.

I just started Need for Speed 2015, and I’m surprised how much I’m loving it. The tutorial system stinks, but the gameplay is really fun and I love the corny FMV cutscenes.

It’s such a shame this game is online only and will inevitably be lost one day.

This is such a good game. It’s such a shame that this game (and point-and-click games in general) is so forgotten today.

There are a lot of reasons The Flash failed but I really don’t think “people don’t care about the character” is one of them.

I like a lot of Wales Interactive stuff. I feel like they’re not afraid to be experimental, and games like Late Shift, Infinty Runner, and ESPECIALLY Master Reboot are all good fun.

Nice! I’ve REALLY been wanting to get into Shangri-La Frontier. I got the first volume of the manga in a humble bundle years ago and have had a fascination with it since, but never fully dived into it.

I’m actually playing The Last of Us Part 1 now! Great game!

I also still really need to get around to The Evil Within and The Great Ace Attorney.

I was actually one of his early viewers before he got huge. It’s been so cool to see that despite his growing size, he’s never lost that massive moral compass. Just a genuinely cool guy.

I feel like “action-adventure” is kind of a nebulous catch-all for any game that isn’t an RPG at this point.

I’m going to say either Luigi’s Mansion or Batman: Arkham City depending on your definition of “Action-Adventure.”

I’ve not heard of it! Maybe I’ll check it out!

This is actually really good.

I REALLY like my PS5. I feel it’s a much bigger step up from the PS4 than I was expecting. That said, people were really not joking about the lack of games. I thought it was exaggerated like the PS3 “not having games,” but it really is pretty dire.

It’s honestly really depressing that every GameFly ad I see has to say “Yes. GameFly is still alive.”

I really need to get better at finishing games.

I genuinely want to finish all of them but can’t stop myself from starting new games
