27.05.2025 20:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why, yes, I am indeed celebrating closing my gradebook with sushi and catching up on Abbot Elementary.
24.05.2025 02:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I forgot how much truly deep healing comes with deep sleep..... after sleeping solid for nearly 16 hours today.
Let your body rest. It remembers the emotional trauma absorbed even a decade ago but processes them all the same.
I also bought a new eyeshadow palette back in March--in my defense, it was after I accidentally broke all the shadows in another palette. Both were Colourpop, but the new one was 3x the size of the old. Ope.
17.04.2025 20:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I emptied a bottle of my Redken Frizz Dismiss Mask. And had back up ready to go bought last year. I use this once a week on average to deep condition during an Everything Shower.

I'll admit that with all this talk of tariffs going back and forth, I caved and panic-bought my favorite K-Beauty items. These were all staples in my vanity, though, and I was stocking up for the future. I'm a little scared for that tax bill, though.
It's a good day for a rewatch of The First Wives Club.

The other day, I had the joy of witnessing two of my students earnestly high-five each other because it was ART Day for them.
It makes me happy when kids WANT to be in my class.
Except it's not an inconvenience at all--otherwise I would move her.

When my little gray cat uses my foot as a pillow for her weary head.
I could lounge with that tiny creature all day with enough herbal tea and nightstand books.
Studio Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki, Who Said AI Is βInsult to Life Itself,β Reduced to AI-Generated Meme by OpenAI

That moment where you recognize you are not healed and that it is very much now time to heal. To deeply heal.
29.03.2025 16:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0OpenAI is using Studio Ghibli-style memes as an ad hoc promotional campaign for its new image generatorβdespite Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki's famous hatred of AI. Sam Altman made his X avatar a 'Ghiblified' portrait.
Disgracing Miyazaki is part of the point: It's more proof to them tech has won.

The Supreme Court long ago conferred Constitutional protections to every person present in America
If the US arrests people who have NOT been charged with a crime
Changes their immigration status WITHOUT a court hearing
And refuses to let them speak with a lawyer
Then our democracy is truly lost
Some of you have never read The Jungle by Upton Sinclair, and IT SHOWS.

28.02.2025 21:28 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Today, I finally had that Art Teacher Right-of-Passage of discovering that the reason my sink won't drain properly is because of lost paint brushes, lots and lots of tiny paint brushes (which I thought were just missing).

It is absolutely amazing what just a little bit of sunlight can do to lift one's spirits.
28.02.2025 19:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Started taking these at the recommendation of my nutrition coach. Helped the daily sore from being on my feet all day. Started to notice a difference, mostly when I forgot to take them.

Even though I enjoy soaking in epsom salt, the fragrance could trigger headaches and the bubbles..... don't always agree with my system.
Now, I love the scent anyway--and it helped me to feel sleepy and relaxed.
Would recommend, but not repurchasing due to my own issues.
This is my holy grail body wash---no fun scents for me normally because I managed to inherit eczema and super dry skin all at the same time.
When you find something that doesn't make your finicky skin angry, you get the economy size and use it for almost a half year.
A few months back, I got length cut off my locks and adapted a shag. Discovered my hair was curlier than thought and started embracing it in an as lazy-girl was as I could. I enjoyed this as a curl cream for my waves. Would repurchase but trying another brand currently.
28.02.2025 02:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Truth is, I prefer my very basic and Americanized version of a Korean double cleanse---with an oil cleanser, then a foam cleanser.
I tried to incorporate this into a double cleansing routine and it just didn't work for me. Maybe it was a sensory thing.
Did this work as a face cleanser? Yes.
Did this make it so all my makeup slid off my face? Also, yes.
Did this keep my skin from getting too dry? Yes, again.
But did my face FEEL CLEAN after using? Nope. Even though it did its job, I, in fact, did not love it.
NOT Repurchasing.
In lieu of tomorrow's buyout blackout, I thought I'd remember and update on how my #projectpan2025 is going. Though I'm sure that there are or will be a great many of us doing this unintentionally soon.
