So is the comment in your OP (like to see this in court) moot as they won't prosecute as they know it will fail and have just used this to remove the item sharpish?

Who will fill the gap? I read Ovenden was 'the best brain/instinct in gov' I mean if true....blimey. They seem to have the political instincts of my 3 year old niece.

He did. He didn't shred Williams though did he? You know an actual starting 11 player and proper full back.

Why - WHY - are they always this dim? They cling on and then act too late and lose any upside/saving of face of the situation

Ha! That could be deemed negative, too in some quarters πŸ˜…
Saw a fabulous play written by a local woman last night- around miner's strike, written from her perspective of a working class teenager.
Followed her on twitter πŸ€ͺ....soon unfollowed.
The play was great tho.

She was a bit worse than silly on this issue, sadly. 'They' were always going to get her at some point for exactly the reasons Ian says

Agree that seems odd as Aina will presumably be at Afcon for the last 2 EL fixtures. Just seems risky.

Farage has gone to the US to tell them Britain is ”awful” - If you don’t like it over here Nigel maybe don’t catch a return flight?

Bought the paper and read online as well!
I love having the physical but I agree with your quoted friend - I'll only buy/read about Football if the writer is good (imo, obvs) or has something interesting to say. I'll continue to buy as long as decent writers continue to write.

Football journalism needs defending – it won’t surrender ... The term β€˜match report’ is misleading, and serves no purpose in describing what football journalism does

I always like to read in print, Paul Hayward is right to champion this imo.

Love it.
The style (the colour v b&w)reminds me a bit of some comic artists - Simon Bisley maybe in some of the Slaine stories.
