Making Automatic Record Clearance a People Centered, End-to-End Service — Code for America
The state of automatic record clearance in the US shows hope for a future where more people get the help they need to achieve a fresh start
The biggest takeaway from the first day of #CfASummit was that 70-100 million Americans have some kind of criminal record, which causes a lifetime's worth of "collateral consequences", particularly when it comes to their career prospects. Really impressed by CfA's work on automatic record clearance.

I can see BlueSky is creating "cards" when I paste hyperlinks into my posts. Bummer that this client doesn't render hyperlinks or do anything with those cards. :(

4/ When digital service teams or vendors go away after launching new technology, improvements depreciate quickly if Agile, constituent-centered design, continuous improvement go away too. Feeling excited—and a little intimidated—about committing myself to this problem space next!

2/ United States Digital Service is trying a new approach to improving service delivery in the federal government. There’s so much great research happening here! And so many exemplary artifacts we can use for reference in our work at all levels of government! https://www.performance.gov/cx/projects/
