The way 9/11 and the patriot act gave the state the ability to label any resistance against the capitalist system as 'terrorism,' no matter how harmless it actually is, is genuinely the turning point in American history IMO. Those towers came down and the hard turn to fascism began.

This is what the head of al-Shifa actually said: They were offered 300 liters of fuel, which wouldn’t last 20 minutes. And he was told to go somewhere unsafe to physically pick up said amount. When the suggested the Israelis do this via the Red Cross, he was rebuffed. Quote tweet of NYT's Nick Confessore who said: A Gaza health ministry spokesman said that head of Al-Shifa Hospital refused to accept fuel because “taking this fuel would give Israel credit for allowing fuel into Gaza.”
