a simple wish

It’s plain and I know a half dozen other trans Emmas (I assume with similar provenance) but whatever it’s always felt like a good fit and what is more important than that for a name?

I got pretty fond of the name over the years and while chatting about names with my family I found out Emma was my great grandmother’s name and a common family name going back a long long way. so I was like ok yeah that’s that

My old name started with the letter M so when I was a kid “pretending” to be a girl on the internet I started just using the initial M, which became Em, and then Emma.

Anyway — it’s nearly been 3 years. Have you yet taken the opportunity to read Snow White by Donald Barthelme? How much longer will you need? It is a relatively short book, though I admit it is as insufferably written as this the whole way though. But I do love it very genuinely nonetheless.
