I chatted with a law librarian and basically any NYS law library should be able to help you. Here's mine: ww2.nycourts.gov/library/oswe...
If you contact one out of NY state, you might still access Westlaw and Lexis, which are legal databases, and they might have the information you are looking for.

Delighted to see this piece appear in amazing journal, Flash the Court. This week I was teaching dialogue in class –and I'm afraid I've broken many of my erm... suggestions.

Day 12.1 @smokelong.bsky.social Archive Challenge.

Back to the microfiction issue! Kim Magowan’s The Spoon hits me just right. I love a story that veers as quickly as possible. From fairy tale to realism. From horror to kindness in a cruel world.

Day 9 @smokelong.bsky.social Archive Challenge.

Nora Nadjarian’s β€œStrawberry Jam” features the narrator’s parents both considering: β€œDo you remember that time we went picking strawberries?” The moment around the question itself becomes the memory for us.

Day 8 @smokelong.bsky.social Archive Challenge.

β€œTies that Bind” by Patricia Q Bidar does the near impossible, taking two people’s first kiss (with each other anyway) waaay outside of any possible cliche! I love how every early image is reflected later!

Day 7 @smokelong.bsky.social Archive Challenge.

β€œAct of Contrition” by Cezarija Abartis send me right to the confessional. I’m a sucker for Catholic underpinning and judgment. Can a child save their family from all their sins? Do the classics hold the key?
