What words do you overuse and don't notice until you edit?
In my debut novel, the protagonist yawned a lot. In the sequel, another character snorted a lot. I'm now editing my eighth book and a character smirks a lot 🙄
I have an annoyingly large amount of smirks to wipe out. #writing

If you're looking for an urban fantasy series that deals with a treasure hunt (different treasure in each book), I recommend Thrill of the Hunt by Helen Harper. I finished book 3 of the series, and loved it. It has magic, blooming romance, found family, and dry humor. #urbanfantasy

I love you writing tips. Working on draft three of my WIP, and I used your advice on describing characters while they talk to polish my dialogue heavy scenes. I'll keep this tip in mind for my next book too.

Yeah, that happens. 😂. A random chapter popped out in my WIP, too, although it's an anomaly.
Anyway, that day, I only managed one chapter, and yesterday, I wrote 500 words. Today, I'm fighting a migraine, so it doesn't look good either. Good writing days and bad days intermingle.

Short. 1500-2000 words. But I'm trying something new for this book: I made a summary for each scene, so I know exactly what needs to happen in each chapter. I've never written so fast before. I started 3 weeks ago, and I have 39k words. No writer's block, either.

But tomorrow I have some errands to run and I might not have much time to write, so I'm trying to compensate today. I'm hoping to write at least one new chapter (although, secretly I'm aiming for two).

I reached the midpoint of my story, Ghost in the Attic. Chapter 20 is Guilty Pleasures and Bloodshed. Yesterday I got distracted and didn't write a single word, but today was a good day. I wrote about 3000 words. #amwriting
