Local authorities should charge for brandishing. Penal Code § 417 PC makes it a crime to brandish a firearm or a deadly weapon. Brandishing means to draw or exhibit the weapon in a threatening manner or to use it in a fight (other than in lawful self-defense).

This is so bad. Can that "officer" articulate that he feared for his life or severe bodily harm for him to brandish his weapon? A private citizen would be charged for brandishing. I am waiting for what going to eventually happen. A legally armed citizen intervening to abduction.
