people are impressed by the way it writes because they aren't confident in their writing. they think it sounds smarter: "make concise" "improve word choice" "simplify sentence." all it does is erode confidence, make them second guess, and muddy their intent

i am not the best writer, but i'm a confident writer. A lot of people are not, and I can't imagine how much damage this is doing to them, because it's doing a lot to me.

I have to use gmail for work, and it completely stunlocks me. I honestly don't know what to do. I wrote "there was an error in our system" and it underlined it and suggested "Make more concise?" and its replacement was, "there was a system error."

The Pokémon card secondary market exists because Pokémon cards are a gambling product, so I think it's odd when people say that Pokémon cards "should" be accessible to kids because they are "for" kids. The problem is that a gambling environment was intentionally created.
