In June, a very special 50th anniversary celebration of Low & The Idiot takes place at ChΓ’teau d’HΓ©rouville, in the studio in which they were recorded, with Carlos Alomar in attendance.
A rare chance to experience music history where it happened.

Or "Over the wall we go, all coppers are nanas". Classics, both!

What is the best opening line to a Bowie song?
- "She's a tongue twisting storm"?
- "Still don't know what I was waiting for"?
- "It's a god-awful small affair"?
- "I'm home. Lost my job. And incurably ill"?

Or something else?

Happy birthday to the one and only Carmine Rojas! 🎸
Beyond the glorious music, Andy and I have so much to thank him for: a brilliant four-page interview for issue 4 and joining us at our New York convention in 2023.
Have a great one, Carmine! πŸŽ‰

So, who is in your ultimate Bowie band?
We can have two guitarists (one rhythm, one lead) a bass player, a drummer, a keyboard player or pianist and a saxophonist.
I know who I'm choosing.

Whats the perfect compilation of tracks from the "Berlin" trilogy?

All vocal? A mix?

Great news for our friend and playwright Mark Wheeller: CAN YOU HEAR ME MAJOR TOM? has been taken on by a small publisher as a downloadable script. Wishing it every success. Very well deserved. πŸš€πŸŽ

Ten years since David Bowie died today.
Still feels strange to say it.
His work hasn’t faded into nostalgia . It keeps unfolding, revealing new meanings with time.
Bowie remains present: in the music, the ideas, and the permission he gave so many to be themselves.

As well as being David Bowie’s birthday, today marks 10 years since Blackstar.
For me, it’s his magnum opus; impossible to compare with his other works. Often a hard listen, yet forward-looking: unresolved, abrasive, deeply beautiful. Bowie was pushing boundaries right to the end.

This new documentary is about to be shown on Channel 4 in the UK.

I saw the film last week and posted a short reflection about it.

I'd be really interested to know what everyone thinks if it. Please let me know in the comments.
