When in Spain

On NPR on Friday, there was a story of a 4-year-old--an American citizen--who hasn't left her house since early December, not even to play in the yard. And her 8-year-old brother recently stopped going to school, too. Their father is undocumented, and the family doesn't want to risk him being taken.

This is when we show our resolve.

All it would take to end the murder of 🇺🇲citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach & remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public & end all of this.

Children’s lives in the UK are changing.
They are becoming shorter in height. More of them are going hungry than they were a few years ago. Recently, more have died each year than they did a few years ago. Increased poverty, more destitution & the effects of ongoing austerity are the clear culprits.

One of my favourite fairy tales is 'The Boy Who Drew Cats.' It is a Japanese tale about a boy who was compelled to draw cats everywhere. He initially got into trouble but his hobby paid off because one day the cats he drew saved him from a giant rat goblin.
