They basically stopped making anything that could be considered even vaguely contentious after the Russell Brand/Jonathan Ross podcast fiasco.

Are there such things as second hand TV shops these days? What does one do now with a used OLED that’s still perfectly functional?

I don’t use Facebook so absolutely not listing it on Marketplace.

Ah yes, looks like he’s turned them round again.

Wait… so has Ruben Amorim not turned Manchester United Football Club around? I can’t keep up. #lufc

Just turned on the game and it is *deathly* silent at Molineux. Has it really been that bad? #lufc

No scummy Guardian article this week lads? #lufc

Damn though, wish we’d gone for the winner at the end there. Could have been one for the ages. #lufc

Not a humiliation at all!!! #lufc

Not been a humiliation this, but giving up two dumb goals like that is very annoying. Always going to be a difficult game given the exertions on Wednesday. #lufc

This is my point. In terms of quality of opposition and the intensity, quality, and game management over a full 90 minutes, that has to the most complete performance since Bielsa.

04.12.2025 08:55 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

At this rate there’s a decent chance he goes to the World Cup.

Was that the best 90 minute performance since Bielsa? #lufc

Suits are desperate to sack Farke and now it seems their stupid Guardian article is going to backfire.

Seriously, what are we doing here? If an on-field decision isn’t obviously wrong within 30 seconds then it should just stand. Nobody needs this bullshit.

The whole Guardian article really makes me think the 49ers don’t have a clue what they’re doing. Just another bunch of corporate chancers.

What really worries me is I think they think they’re being clever.

02.12.2025 20:41 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah, I know, but they *did* win the Club World Cup, beating the current Champions League winners to do it.

The decision to keep or fire a manager should never be based on one or two games, which is even more true when those games are against the current Premier League and World champions. #lufc

Nah, this is 100% the board pushing a narrative. The whole β€˜Farke’s fate being based on getting a result from Chelsea and Liverpool’ thing is absurd anyway and shows the board don’t have a clue.

I worry. This lot have been coming across as a clueless bunch of corporate chancers since promotion.

Interesting. I don’t recall a single BBC journalist directly stating that Boris Johnson lied, any of the times he was obviously lying.

The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.

That double yellow for Paqueta has been coming all season. Should have happened against Leeds. The guy is on at the refs all the time. #lufc

This is the thing. People are acting like he never changes, but in both previous seasons the team has evolved and he settles on something better by December/January.

Is the government going to start charging people for not smoking or drinking? After all, those people are not paying alcohol or tobacco duty…?

26.11.2025 14:31 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah, I get it, but we already pay VAT and levies like CCL on the electricity. I could understand a per mile tax if it replaced general road tax, but we still also pay that. Seems like a penalty for not burning fossil fuel, which is the opposite of what we should be doing. Climate emergency anyone?

26.11.2025 14:27 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I fail to see how you promote growth more generally, and growth in the EV sector specifically, if you tax the hell out of EVs.

This is all extremely silly imo.

26.11.2025 14:22 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Are you referring to pensions? The BiK on EV leases through salary sacrifice has already been increasing by 1% per year.

26.11.2025 14:17 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Oh yeah, and if you’re on a salary sacrifice lease you’re paying an increased BiK over the next few years too.

Not much incentive to get an EV anymore and help reduce emissions, huh?

A tax of 3p per mile on EV drivers seems like a lazy, badly thought out cash grab tbh.

So EV drivers will pay road tax, the (probably) luxury vehicle tax, and now the additional per mile tax, apparently designed to replace fuel duty WHEN WE ALREADY PAY VAT AND OTHER LEVIES ON THE ELECTRICITY!
