It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

I’ll never forget the horror of the Covid wards | The Observer

Powerful piece by @drrachelclarke.com on the COVID inquiry. Those who say it’s easy to be wise in hindsight are being utterly disingenuous. Many of us spoke out at the time, and it’s in the public record.

New: Boris Johnson’s ‘Brexit Titanic success’ was half right Nearly ten years on, the first full assessment of Brexit confirms what millions warned: Britain made itself poorer

Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances. A new decade-long Brexit study explains it: a 6–8% hit to GDP – that's £180bn-£240bn a year – means less tax, less investment and less money for everything else.

Brexit made Britain poorer. Much poorer.

So, #r4today reports on the Covid inquiry and the “too little, too late” Tory govt, then says they’ll be talking to *Lord* Gove about it. Ugh.
That just sums up so much that’s so very wrong with our politics and media.
Rewarding, rather than punishing, those responsible for failing us all.

To say this is somewhat at odds with the news and social media narrative would be the understatement of the year.

Also if Ed Davey is that popular vis Farage why is the mainstream media practically ignoring him?

We cannot heal the open wound of Brexit until we tackle the serious issues (rigged political system, corrupt media, foreign/corporate interference) that caused us to self harm in the first place. Other countries can see that, yet we can't?

Heathrow Airport's expansion plans to cost £49bn.

Previous plans abandoned as passenger numbers dropped.

Expansion of foreign-owned airport would release millions of tonnes of CO2 while benefiting a few rich flyers.

How about cutting rail fares?

Brexit has paved the way for the carving up of the UK into corporate sovereignties aka free zones, 86 in total.
These are deregulated fiefdoms, tax havens, Ponzi schemes for the asset classes.

Hey British media,
It’s no surprise that if you give Farage the run of the place, he’ll start winning.
Time to do your actual jobs and start interrogating him on his Brexit shitshow, his funding, his Trumpiness, his idiotic manifesto, his real plans for the NHS… instead of drumrolling him into No.10

With bills having gone up, it’s time to take energy back into public ownership The obscene profits of the energy industry show the sector is broken

The French would like to thank the UK for funding to them.

2020 - 2024: EDF owned by the French state made £91bn operating profit in the UK, subsidises French households/industry.

UK govts oppose public ownership but happy to let foreign govts own UK infrastructure, export billions of profits.

Starmer: I'll only sign US tariffs deal if it suits UK.

It will be a terrible deal. NHS will vanish. Expensive branded drugs instead of generic drugs. Hormone injected beef, chlorinated chicken, becoming the 51st state.

Far better to join the EU.

So we've got 74 deregulated SEZs and 12 Freeports set up by Sunak and Starmer immediately after Brexit, which is literally carving up the UK into corporate-governed feudal enclaves.
