I'd put money on FM not even being consulted, let alone asked.

Starmer bravely states in a pre-recorded statement that the US can use UK bases. No opportunity to challenge by the opposition. No accountability. No media scrutiny. Deja vu all over again.

Can I email you instead please Emma as there's some other stuff I'd like to raise and probably best done 1-2-1.

No worries Emma. Thanks for getting back to me. Just a little confused as I was hoping to attend the education session and there wasn't any online assistance. I've fed back to the organisers and will try to catch up with people at conference.

Sarwar? The man who lead the putsch and was met by a deafening round of silence?

I'm more intrigued by the 'last and only chance'. An admission by Sarwar that independence is inevitable?

There are sitting in Mar a Lago surrounded by curtains. A smart watch isn't the problem.

And in admitting that, it brings into sharp focus what an incredible job the SNP have done with such meagre resources. Imagine what could be done if we were independent.

Horrific. But if you want a guide to to how things, are going to go re the Greens just look to how they treat the SNP.

Have you every heard how a US tennis commentator renders Djokovic or Wimbledon? Similarly unrecognisable.

This repost is especially for any passing Americans in the hope that you will have elections in November. Don't give up. You can beat them. Don't succumb to the line rolled out by the media.Cure your ballots and challenge any suspected vote rigging immediately. Prove that Mamdami was not a fluke.

Good morning.

If you've just woken up, the politics of hope just crushed the politics of fear and hatred (Labour-Reform).

It wasn't even close.

40.6% for the Greens. Reform second on 28.7%, Labour third on 25.4%.

Sarwar a Nepo baby?

Read it. Still shocking.

Love the pattern.

Spirits very lifted this morning. They can be beaten. But people have to step up. Huge boots on the ground campaign in Manchester by the Greens. Find your tribe for May and find out what you can do to elect progressive politicians.

Reform can be beaten. We'll be in the election campaigns proper for the May elections. Do what you can to help but most of all vote for hope.

In England perhaps. In Scotland and Wales the SNP and Plaid have practised the politics of hope for many years. But fantastic to see that despite the MSM cheerleading for the extreme right, voters chose otherwise. Hopefully they'll continue to do so in May.

Such fun.

Ours are usually scarily accurate. Perhaps it is genuinely just to close to call.

Answering my own question, I just seen a post on Yahoo of an article in a Manchester paper stating that THERE IS NO EXIT POLL.
The most knife edge by election in years and no one has done an exit poll?

26.02.2026 22:57 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

I'm old enough to remember when the first thing on the list was NHS waiting lists....

Any sight of an exit poll for Gorton and Denton? I'm sure we had the GE one within about 15 minutes.

Not sure about 5. I have to manage my knitting time so as to not aggravate the osteoarthritis.

It's both quite funny and quite horrifying hearing what's been written on ballot papers. (Candidates have to verify spoilt ballots before the result is announced). The public do not hold politicians in any estime.
