Brian Wilson, musical genius behind the Beach Boys, dies at 82 Brian Wilson, the musical savant who scripted a defining Southern California soundtrack with a run of hit songs with the Beach Boys, has died. He was 82.

RIP Brian Wilson. I saw him live September of 2004. Kind of on a whim. His band played the entire SMILE with a chamber ensemble from memory.

He's up there writing harmonies with for Carl and Dennis.
