Started the next book, “How to Talk to a Science Denier” by Lee McIntyre.

I’m just past the first section and one thing that’s stuck out so far is to really connect with people that have ingrained beliefs is to listen. Just listen and respond to what they’re saying, and be warm.

I highly recommend “Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism” by Amanda Montell.

It shines a big ol’ light on how cults like Qanon use language to get you to believe without you even realizing it. If you’re interested in the “how” this book covers that nicely.

I started up a new audible book called Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism by Amanda Montell tonight.

Im fascinated by cults and how people get sucked into them. I’m not even out of the first part yet, and she’s already dropped some really interesting tidbits about the power of speech.

Acts of resistance we can participate in every day:
-Reading (especially banned books)
-Growing our own food
-No buy/Low buy
-Support organizations that are doing the work for minorities, lgbtq etc
-Spread important info to your network (especially when it’s suppressed by fascists)

The dip shit says what he’s doing out loud, but no one listens. Of course he did.

Natural remedies are quite helpful.

It’s pretty sad see TikTok get banned but even if it’s “saved” it’s going to turn into another reich wing cesspool
