To watch a video online you had to download a separate video player so that your browser could open the video file.
That's why we all went apeshit about YouTube. Suddenly we didn't need to keep QuickTime, Real Player and Flash Player up to date.

AI Slop and the Sora 2 release reinforces a fact that has been forgotten since the advent of YouTube... "Newness" does not equal "Goodness."
We could watch a classic film, or scroll Tik Tok and something "new." One was made to capture your imagination, the other was made to capture your attention.

I'm curious if this is for an iOS device. On Android devices I've plugged a USB drive in, a prompt appears that lets me switch the USB mode from charging to data and the drive connects.
And if I'm crossing borders, I'd be careful about crossing borders with video that I didn't rip myself.

Minnesota State Parks have had these available for a few years, and just a few months ago I saw a visitor using one when I was out hiking! I'm happy that more state park systems are providing these.

#Gemini is terrible at home automation commands, which is >90% of what I use it for. When it misinterprets a command it's so annoying, often playing some random music titled "turn on lights," or answering a question I didn't ask...

Android users who used Google Assistant and are annoyed they auto-switched everyone to #Gemini I found out that you can choose to use Assistant as a default!

1) open Google app settings
2) Tap Digital Assistants from Google
3) Tap "Google Assistant"
