4. During Operation Metro Surge, approximately 3,000 additional ERO officers and HSI agents were detailed to the St. Paul Field Office. These details have come at different times and for varying lengths of time. Typically, the ERO St. Paul Office is staffed with approximately 190 officers covering the five states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa. In the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, ERO has approximately 80 officers. 5. As of February 23, 2026, there are approximately 270 ERO officers and 700 HSI agents on detail to the St. Paul Field Office. 6. After February 25, 2026, approximately 107 ERO officers will remain on detail to the St. Paul Field Office. HSI anticipates that there will be approximately 300 agents on detail to the St. Paul Field Office by March 2026.

CBP will demobilize the remaining 67 CBP employees assigned to Operation Metro Surge by February 23, 2026.

Mutual aid is direct assistance, and nonprofits are charities that the wealthy use to lower their taxes while gaining the image that they are helping people.

Not all mutual aid are non-profits, and non-profits often limit the kind of aid offered, or who theyboffer it to.

This could be bolstering nonprofit budgets, not necessarily getting dorect assistance to people the way a mutual aid group can.

The people over papers map for 2/17 at 10:20pm. Lots of ICE activity reports mostly concentrated outside of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Only green pins indicating "sightings of ICE" were reported in Minneapolis city limits. Yellow staging and red active arrest pins are scattered around the suburbs.

So about that "drawdown" that was promised sure doesn't seem to be happening in the #TwinCities. Most of the #ICE activity is in the suburbs. The People Over Papers app only had arrest reports outside of #Minneapolis.
