Today’s ugly thought (I’ve been having too many of them lately:

If Elon Musk were an actual Russian or Chinese asset, it would be hard for he and his minions to do more to weaken the United States and advance the interests of Russia and China than they are doing already.

Today’s thought: if you have a passport or passport card, start carrying it everywhere, all the time. If you see a person of color being questioned by an ICE agent or other law enforcement, approach and insist that they check your papers, too. We’re all in this together.

We’ve now reached the historical moment when Denmark is unquestionably tougher and more realistic in international affairs than any leader of the Republican Party.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.
