No university that signs the compact will be a university, in the accepted sense, anymore. They will be mere Trump Institutes, teaching only what subjects Trump doesn't bar them from teaching -- and only until he does. Signing is an abdication of responsibility and an act of great moral cowardice.

I usually have structures like this in my larger scale maps. (i.e. multiple continent maps)

Fun fact, the Arabian plate has two sides that appear to be "tearing". I tend to refresh my memory about it before drawing plates that are still connected above water, but definitely separating.

Oh, yeah! You know when I've looked at maps of the earth, apart from the obvious South America/Africa tectonic plates, there are some other spots that influenced my shorelines. Basically any tectonic plates that are moving apart can produce similar structures to this. I'm fond of them too.

By the way, which continents are you speaking of? Also, I've looked at so many maps of islands on Google Maps. I'm pretty sure that's influenced a lot of the shapes I use for shorelines and continents. 😆

A slightly cropped 8.5" x 11" pencil drawing of a planet with two moons on 5mm dotted-grid paper. The planet has a lot of surface water and polar ice caps. Each polar icecap is attached to a continent. There are 3 other continents visible. Most of the landmasses are on the night/shaded side of the planet.

While I've not been feeling the best (have a lingering bug of some sort) I decided to doodle with pencils again. It's a planet with 2 moons in graphite: Tehvri IV. This picture started as marginalia on the various eyes/irises I was trying to draw.

For what it's worth, this video really made my day when I saw it. It still makes me smile days later. Thanks for sharing it.

Also, I mentioned it in my DBT diary card, and my therapist was VERY amused when I explained what I meant. So I sent her the link to it.😆

Much of Western media and culture creates false dichotomies and demands people pick sides. I think that feeds this absurd behavior. Long ago I attended a talk where the presenter demanded people she called on take an arbitrary side. When she got to me I picked a third unmentioned thing. 😆

So true! At the Dr's office the other week a random toddler in the lobby was fascinated with my cane (it has a fancy handle). You could see the gears spinning and could tell she was imagining a whole story about it.

My favorite thing to draw? Easily faces. So I’m having a good morning.

If I'm not mistaken, you're enjoying the fact that your art brings joy to others and you're happy about that. To me that's a good side of social media. And I'm happy that you're getting warm fuzzy feelings from it. Your art is impressive.

Just in case others want to blindly block those I block, I've got several moderation lists. Honestly, I've found I'm hardly adding people these days. Of course when one account looks troll-farmish, I examine it's follows and followers. I usually find other "qualified candidates" to block.

I've really become one of those folks that blocks with reckless abandon and honestly the peace? Divine.

You don't want 38 years of that sort of living crushing down on you all in one moment. I don't care how strong you think you are. It'll grind you to an ultra fine dust. You'll find the world a very strange, different and more difficult of a place after that. The "how" and "when" vary, "if" does not.

Then the refrain is a frenetic denial of taking time to acknowledge the pain summed up by the title "No Time To Cry."

If you live your life that way (I did), I have news for you, and you're not going to like it. Life will make you take the time, eventually... all at once.

I read some others thoughts on the Sisters of Mercy song "No Time To Cry." The consensus seems to be "it's about not letting hardship consume you."

I have to say I have the opposite read. The main verses lay out painful shit.

I'm glad you figured out how (age-wise) before I did (early to mid 40s). You'll avoid the extra life-mess that gets created by pushing too hard for too long.

Probably, only given when it was made, it was probably just kids dodging actual traffic. (Some probably didn't use their shadows...) 😆
