This is a bibliography that I’ll be including in the back of the book, along with an author’s note.

This novel has involved a in-depth research, including numerous first person accounts and testimonies, and I’m aware of the controversies surrounding the Uprising and how it has been politicized by everyone from the communist government to PiS.

My debut novel, which was also a historical fantasy that dealt with the Holocaust and the German occupation, was translated into Polish and I was invited by Biblioteka Kraków to speak to school children about it because they felt it accurately represented real events.

I understand your concern. I’m a Jewish person who has I’ve spent 20 years studying the Holocaust and since 2016, I’ve traveled to Poland every summer to work with forensic archeologists to investigate and document war-time mass graves.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

The entanglement of art and capitalism is such a depressing dumpster fire. I love your writing, but I also get needing to step away because of how toxic publishing is. :/ *hugs*

I’m all for not saving your favorite clothes for just special occasions, but I’m also cringing at the mental image of doing gritty chores in them. Ugh.

Influencers who were influencers before we had a name for it were…something else. In hindsight, the whole “princess” movement had the same vibe as pandemic era cottagecore. (“Is this person just being saccharine or are they giving trad-wife?”)
