Photo of Chantelle Lue-Elton of the School of Commons: Chantelle Lue is a researcher and facilitator from Southern Africa, currently based in London. Her work focuses on the development and circulation of archival projects, self-organized practices, and the dynamics of the internet age. Through her expanded practice, she explores themes of marginality, liminality, otherness, and kinship, with a strong emphasis on commoning as praxis.
Since 2023, Chantelle has been part of the leadership team at the School of Commons, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK), where she shapes communications and the Public Program, and supports the Alumn* Network.

Photo of Mark Rohtmaa-Jackson and biography: Dr. Mark Rohtmaa-Jackson is an American-British artist and curator, and and the Director of the alternative, experimental art situation LungA School in Seyisfjörour, Iceland. Prior to this, they were the Curator at IMT Gallery, London, from 2005-2023 and Assistant Professor in Fine Art Critical Theory and Curatorial Practices at Northumbria University. They have been part of a number of collaborative artistic practices including NEUSCHLOSS, Blue Mountain Arcturus and Plastique Fantastique, and their book on curating was published by Routledge in 2023.

Most recently, she founded STUDIO SANSHIN to house her creative practice, which explores the intersection of heritage, technology and ecology. She has been a student of artist-run school for years.

His research focuses on the limits and failures of information and communication technologies; planned obsolescence, consumerism and disposable society; ownership and privacy; through the exploration of détournement, hacking and recycling. His projects can be softwares, installations, pieces of hardware, web based projects, interactive works, street art interventions and are, when applicable, open source.
Together with Dasha Ilina, he is a founding member of the collective NO, a non-profit organisation whose mission is to support and promote emerging art and design research and practices that address the social and environmental impact of information and communication technologies in France and beyond, since its creation in 2018. They are both co-directors of NO SCHOOL NEVERS since its first edition in 2019.

She designs and curates the majority of programming for School of Machines.
Rachel is also an artist, educator, and organizer with over 20 years experience consulting and organizing for social justice and tech communities and events big and small. She helps non-profits, educational institutions, companies and individuals looking to strengthen the work they do and build new initiatives.
She is currently co-developing two new projects, School of Humans and Make-Believe Studio Berlin.
