Inevitably, Heated Rivalry was brought up during the fan Q&A period. (Gardiner was the lone Team Ilya.) Moderator asked how the players felt about the show’s impact on hockey. Karvinen said women’s hockey has been an inclusive space for years, and hopefully now it’s time for men’s hockey to be too.

Thoughts/observations after this event aka more proof that women’s sports = good vibes:
Parking lot only has two major exits, but everyone was being very orderly and patient at the exit – no honking, no confusion – without the need for anyone to direct traffic too. A rarity in Vancouver!
