Honestly the fact anyone engages with my work at all makes me so happy. That someone would read, kudos, comment, share with friends, or even write or draw something based on something I've written is something I'm always so grateful for.

I often reread comments and look at art when times are bad.

People start and stop reading fics all time, that's whatever. I don't think it's petty and I don't take it personally. I think sometimes the way people talk about stuff they DNF veers into pettiness.

I wouldn't personally stop reading unless I thought the death was ill conceived but if I did stop, I wouldn't tell the author I stopped reading or complain about it publicly. I would just stop.
