Somehow still have these guys, my Pineapple Spikes. Two adults and one growing up. Started with 10 and most of them didn't make it. Some of the few bred and there was one little baby batch running around but only one remaining is maturing to an adult.

Need to order more to get a colony going here..

Anyone else canning tomato sauces dealing with a strong vinegar taste? Not sure if it's spoiling, the tops aren't popping. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

It's definitely something I would be looking into! I'd like to think I could handle it, but not jumping into anything hastily. I'd like to do alot more research on keeping them. Certainly no rush.

And very interesting with MBD. I keep a variety of reptiles but have never heard of mammals also being affected.

I imagine it's hard to find a veterinarian who is comfortable and competent with them as well! I currently have rats and admittedly the lifespan is the worst part but they are such lovely and intelligent friends to have at home.

Heck some parents are just opting to do trunk or treating with churches_businesses in my area too.

We admittedly went to a bigger city, where we are now is too tiny. Theres one gas station and a couple bars. That's it here. I didnt want to walk the village and end up with only 10 houses passing out

I think alot of kids and parents hone in on very specific neighborhoods too. I remember one year I lived right in town by a baseball park.

I didn't get a single damn kid and literally made a Facebook post saying please I have like 5 gallons of candy and not enough self control to be left with it.

Is having a pet opossum as wonderful as it looks?? I am so attached to the idea of having one.. 😅

Eventually maybe. After our cats and dogs have had good lives and crossed over.

Well for having no fucking idea what I was doing. The dinosaur costumes turned out alright 😅

This year has been rough. Pinching pennies and really feeling it lately. But no matter what. Halloween is still an exciting time for the kids.

They're super thrilled with the costumes so far.

Oldest told me she'd love hers just because it was hand made.

I told her to wait, it could be ugly! 😅🤣

Best part is so far I've managed to do everything with materials we already had at home. Old, worn out dress and shirts of mine that other wise would've been tossed repurposed.

Quilt batting we used to wrap oldest cast when she was playing soccer with a fractured arm.

Cutting it close but the costumes are wrapping up nicely.

Oldest wanted to be spinosaurus with mask. Gotta figure out how to attach the spine bit in a way that is removable for class.

Middle wanted to be a pterydactyl. I'm going to attach fabric to tie her wings.

Youngest will be triceratops.

Been working on Halloween costumes for the kids. Having never sewed anything more than mending and minor modifications.

So far they are clearly homemade 🤣 but the kids are excited.

Middle child wanted to be a pterdactyl. I took a size xl dress of mine, sized it down, & took a layer off for wings.

We did alright growing pumpkins this year 🖤🧡

I'm struggling with alot of fatigue and exhaustion lately. Like sleeping 16+ hours a day against my will.

Sometimes brushing my hair is the hardest thing I do. It's thick as hell and curly. Mats up at the back of my head. Somedays, I think about just cutting it all off instead of brushing through..

I worked in a grooming salon, people suck. We'd make appointments 2 months out, reminder calls the day before, the day of for some even, and people would confirm they'd be there. Then no call, no show. Now you're out a $60 groom, still paying staff, and oh they want to be squeezed in tomorrow sorry!

Last night wasn't feeling too bad and got ambitious. Homemade egg noodles and Swedish meatballs.
