All this to say: DO NOT sleep on our senate or gubernatorial races this year… The closest we’ve come to a statewide victory in the last 20 years was Trump’s first midterm in 2018 when Henry McMaster got < 54% of the vote!

2026 may be the best statewide opportunity SC gets for another decade.

The SC map is so gerrymandered that statewide races range D40-45% while the Dems in congressional races get 28-42% (yikes).

Believe it or not, statewide SC races may be more viable than SC01 or SC02.

At least seven of the cited sources in the ‘MAHA report’ do not even actually exist.

For example, the document listed epidemiologist Katherine Keyes as first author of a study on anxiety in adolescents… “The paper cited is not a real paper that I or my colleagues were involved with,” Keyes said.
