Broken systems don’t get fixed.

They get replaced when a better option comes along.

Let’s build a better option.

If the only thing someone knows is a horse, they’ll always argue that a horse is better than a car.

We need to stop arguing with them and just build the car.

Instead of having moral arguments about the system, let’s just make something better.

We don’t win by convincing people the system is broken.

We win by building something they can’t afford not to use.

Democracy isn’t failing from apathy.

It’s failing because people have no alternative to corporate control.

When the system doesn’t work for us, people don’t invent something new. We return to something familiar. We come together. We share resources. We support each other. We rebuild what was ours.

It’s what people have always done.

When the system stops working for us, we build a new system that does.

We can shift the balance of power until we reduce our reliance on corporations.

We take power back by withdrawing from the system. So until WE control what WE need to live, the corporations will always have the power.

Power is control over the essentials.

Even if we had ten million people protesting, we still rely on the same people we are protesting against for our food, our healthcare, our energy.

And as long as that’s the case, they’ll always have control.

An anonymous employee at The Great Wolf Lodge in Perryville,MD, a veteran, was told not to come to work until the VA signs accommodation forms for the employee to return to work. The employee had just asked for accommodations with a doctors note.
