On this Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember the bright and courageous trans people whose lives were stolen by hatred. Their absence is felt across our city.

We will honor them by building a New York where every trans person can live safely, fully and freely.

A world without transgender people has never existed and never will.

Her death feels so much like one of a broken heart given that her wife Janell passed only a year and a bit ago. Such tragic losses for the game dev community, both. 😭

Me, before reading the excerpted passage: “I don’t see why anyone would read Olivia Nuzzi’s book. What a pointless exercise.”

I sure do wish that people would be even one ounce literate in trans-issues-and-the-villains-therein. Just one ounce would make the world so much better 🫠

The hangout made it out of the discord chat! Since I am in New York for this wedding week of sweet friends, @2tone.bsky.social and I got to meet up in person for the first time with @ridiculous.chat. Things may be tough, but they are made always lighter with dear humans and good food.

The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

A reminder that this anti-trans panic is 100% bullshit and exactly none of our country’s problems are related to someone expressing their gender identity and everyone who isn’t a hate-filled weirdo knows it.

I was raised Catholic and very much left the church as I grew into more progressive ideals. Francisco and now Leo in a bigger way make it feel safer to go back to the church and make me more proud of being brought up Catholic.

Yeah I’ve never done something like that with a new game, it was *tough* but I made a deck that overcommitted my runes and then rebuilt it after round one! 😅 l e a r n i n g

I think if you have experience in any other TCG you have skills that will translate. I learned the game in a quick conversation and watching a game and was then able to sit down, build a sealed deck, and competently play 4 rounds. (My TCG xp-I have played and/or worked on Magic for over 20 years)

Learned to play @riftbound.riotgames.com yesterday, immediately played in a sealed event and then full box sealed today and went 3-1! Game is very fun, I’m looking forward to seeing more.
