So sorry that Mike Richardson is no longer at Dark Horse, the company he founded 40 years ago. He was a visionary, championing creator ideas and creator rights. What a legacy! He was a pleasure to work with and showed great support for Berger Books. Thanks for everything, Mike!

In 1999 I directed a short film called "Asian Pride Porn" starring Tony award winning playwright David Henry Hwang that was one of AtomFilms' most viewed shorts of all time and got my face on the cover of Time Magazine Asia mocked up on the screen of an iMac.

Every day, around 5pm, my laptop starts to wheeze and slow down. Currently trying to brute force my way through getting a few more articles up for the week before finishing, so I can spend tomorrow reading review material and doing socials. I'd rather have my teeth removed Marathon Man-style rn.

What's scary about this story is the surveillance it hints at. This trans woman had changed her name, legally, but chose not to change her gender marker. She was apparently flagged in the DMV system as trans and her license was invalidated under a law that supposedly only concerned gender markers.

Labours attitudes towards water companies is one of the starkest examples of how they'll do anything to protect the status quo.

The case for water nationalisation is so bloody obvious to everyone - yet they'll do anything they can to keep the failed privatisation experiment.
