The Moon is settled in the early 2200’s using XK tech. Collection and use of Helium-3 removes our need for fossil fuels, effectively halting climate change, but damage to our fragile ecosystem has already reaches dangerous levels.

In the late 2100’s one particular mining expedition finds ablue obelisk suddenly erupt from deep within the Mars core, with the structure and surrounding matter defying gravity. A pure anti-gravity element.

They call it Xeipkuta.
