Get ready for some "warflation": higher prices for oil, gas, food (lots of fertilizer passes through Hormuz), goods made with petrochemicals (umbrellas, shampoo, toys, etc.), and pretty much anything that needs to be transported anywhere.

As a person who lives car-free, the effect this has on me is negligible.

And I hope this spurs more people to demand walkable, bikable, transit-friendly places to live. Fossil fuels have always been a threat to national security and our pocketbooks
