UPDATE on ICE activity in Joplin
31.01.2026 23:39 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Our #ICEoutforGood protest last weekend was a huge success. On a 24-hour notice, we got 150 people out in MAGA-infested Joplin, MO. We had a memorial table with candles, names, and stories for each of the 37 ICE-related deaths during Trump's 2nd term and closed with a moment of silence for them.
17.01.2026 06:20 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Our apologies! We emailed you back.

Come see us tomorrow!

A coalition of groups across the country is calling for a coordinated I.C.E. OUT FOR GOOD Weekend of Action on January 10th and 11th to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of I.C.E.βs actions.
Jan. 3rd, 2026: the Presidential Administration ordered an attack on Venezuela without Congressional approval. They killed innocents and captured the Venezuelan President and First Lady, removing them from their own country.
We cannot be silent.
Our food drive in Joplin today was a huge success! We filled the boxes at:
2 & Oliver
McCoy & Glover
24 St (Between Cecil Floyd School & St Pauls)
On 32 near McClelland (Islamic Society of Joplin)
7 & Byers (at St Philips)
6 and Wall (602 N Wall)

Join us tomorrow morning for our monthly meeting!
RSVP here: www.mobilize.us/mobilize/eve...
One day late, but we are still excited to see you today!
If you followed the updates for the first event planned, a lot of this will be review, but there is new information about the location included. You can see full event details on our website here: indivisiblejoplin.wixsite.com/hope/post/no...
Why the Location Change? The traffic at 7th/Main will likely be much slower on a Sunday. While 7th/Rangeline has been a popular spot in the past, our first No Kings event created issues for the businesses there. To take advantage of the Rangeline traffic, we will protest in front of the mall.

NEW #NOKINGSJOPLIN EVENT INFO
RSVP Here for more information: www.mobilize.us/indivisible/...
When? Tomorrow, Sunday, October 19th, from 2 pm to 6 pm
Where? Sidewalk along Rangeline, in front of Northpark Mall
We will be releasing a reschedule date as soon as possible.
We know that this is disappointing. Our team has been as excited as you are, so we are feeling it too. We hope you will be able to stand with us on our rescheduled date.
In solidarity,
The Indivisible Joplin Team
Indivisible Joplin has said from the start that the safety of our attendees is our number one priority, so we feel that it is irresponsible to hold our event outside in these conditions.

βΌοΈNO KINGS JOPLIN POSTPONEDβΌοΈ
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook. Joplin is under an elevated risk of lightning/excessive rainfall, and a slight risk of tornado/hail/thunderstorm damage with chances of golf ball-sized hail, and damaging winds of up to 70 mph.
We are excited to stand with you.
Together weβll send a joyful, powerful message: No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.
See you at 2!
The Indivisible Joplin Team
indivisiblejoplinmo@gmail.com
Safety Team:
If you see any issues or potential conflicts, please alert a Safety Team member. We will have team members on all four corners of the intersection. If you have difficulties locating a team member, someone at the tents will be able to contact one for you.
Take Pictures:
Weβll need your help to flood social media with photos and videos tomorrow, so make sure youβre using #NoKingsJoplin and #NoKings on your posts. You can also tag our social media accounts. (Links to our socials can be found on our website: indivisiblejoplin.wixsite.com/hope)
Please also know the Joplin Police Department has requested we leave a clear path on the sidewalk for others to pass. The sidewalk there has plenty of room, so it should be easy to be respectful of passersby.

Where to Stand:
We expect a large turnout, so we anticipate needing all four corners of the intersection. We recommend standing on the sidewalk directly connected to the intersection so that our Safety Team can reach you quickly if needed. See the following map for the recommended standing area.
When you Get There:
We will have two tents set up: 1 by Arvest and 1 diagonally across the intersection near Sherwin-Williams. Come pick up a stack of Know Your Rights Cards, a No Kings bandana (limited supply), and a sign if needed. We will have KYR with I.C.E. Agents cards (red cards) available.
Where to Park:
We value our local businesses and expect attendees to be respectful of them. There is a small parking lot right at the intersection that belongs to Creative Audio; please do not park there. See the following map for nearby public parking lots in the area.
The No Kings Coalition is encouraging attendees to wear something yellow to establish it as the color of our movement. We have a limited amount of No Kings yellow bandanas available on a first-come basis. Other ideas are a yellow shirt, a yellow poncho, a yellow headband, or a yellow bracelet.

There is a different protest at 7th & Rangeline at 11. It is a No Kings protest, but not an Indivisible Joplin protest. It is being hosted by a different local group.
Attendees are welcome to attend whichever protest best fits their needs, or both if they would like.
