It does seem very few do that over here and very few folks I talked to on IG didn't come over this way either. The book community here seems more like booktok and I wasn't a part of that. I hadn't been on Twitter for years either so this is new, again. I miss being excited with others about books.

A thing about growing up poor, or even middle class in America, is that there comes a time when you look back on bad memories or traumatic experiences you saw and realize how many of them had something to do with a lack of money

I don't miss the time I spent on Instagram but I miss being active and sharing all sorts of random things and all the book stuff in stories. I haven't found myself over here and sometimes posting about books or enjoying something feels wrong with how politically heavy this app is. I dunno.
