It's not Saturday, but I'm trying. Here's a little "beauty lighting" I've been experimenting with on the terminal. A nice little bloom there giving it a bit of nostalgic glow.

This week I made a time manager! It's cool for coding reasons, but it also inspired me to add some details to the input decks. The screens, bars, & locks will all animate in conjunction with the larger system!

These decks are inspired by AV equipment racks!

Ohhh interesting. I'd expect a tone a bit more formal, perhaps even a bit stuffy or antiquated. It almost makes me think of a rich non-adventuring wealthy author writing about their disconnected notion of what a traveling adventurer might experience.

My problem is I'm a sucker for the punishment and what I enjoy is the racks and racks of unique plausible looking packaged products in different shapes and sizes. (Just like those amazing items you designed in the vending machine!)

I relate to this on the 2D art side. One painting takes easily 40-50 hours, depending on the content. I wonder if to make a mall there are some procedural tricks one could use to recombine some mesh or texture elements.

Also, I think all the logos were so worth it. I often want to make mall or shop scenes, and I think the visual noise of products adds a certain pleasing aesthetic to those sorts of scenes.

What I've learned today is that I've failed one of the best colors: warm green. I'm really looking forward to experimenting in that range.

This visual roadmap that @pebloop.dev made has been on my mind for the past two days. It's a great tool for sharing with the public, but doubles as an accountability tool.

I relate to this so much. In fact, learning Unreal and coding has been so healing for me, an artist who definitely struggled(s) with perfectionism.
