a genre of vocals i like is shamelessly blatant but pop ass autotune. i like when artists dont try to hide autotune and embrace it to create cool "metallic" voice effects, especially when paired with a vocoder or something of the likes. duran duran's "shadows on your side" remake is a good example

actually, i think this comes from a desire to be seen as a "perfect middle" between humble and confident, though in reality there isn't a perfect middle between the two. this is a reminder for myself and others that you can be healthily confident in yourself and dont need to put yourself down!!
