Agree with Slot here. Honestly it won't be a joy for me either if I was sitting outside top 4, after spending half a billion on the title winning team. I would be making these distracting noises too.

Well put πŸ‘πŸ»
Besides when it was done to us, we were told to "get on with it". Even against Brentford this season when Raya was complaining, the general comments were "live by the sword..."

So "get on with it".

My only worry is all this narrative feeding into PGMOL's decision or two this season.

Perception versus Reality Morning. Perception is an odd thing. Stuff was being discussed in the Arses yesterday, which is obviously the point of a comment section, and the idea that Arsenal as an attacking team haven’t really, properly clicked this season came up. It’s one I tend to agree with, to be honest. When you look at the […] The post Perception versus Reality appeared first on Arseblog ... an Arsenal blog.

I don't like it one bit, will change defending significantly. I would rather have this semi automated offside refined, it works at least less subjective than other rules in football.

I can't believe Arsène thinks this is a good idea.

I'm so sorry to hear that. 😞

Was only referring to their reporting on immigration laws, and Tr*ump administration, their headlines, etc have been clearer compared to other publications.

Yeah happened at least once before this season, just can't remember. You might be right.

I like that @theguardian.com is still trying to fight the good fight. Like their tone on current events.

UK slashes climate aid programmes for developing countries Exclusive: Schemes worth hundreds of millions of pounds to protect biodiversity and oceans likely to be substantially reduced UK programmes to protect nature and the climate in developing countries are suffering swingeing budget cuts despite ministers’ promises, the Guardian has learned. The cuts belie the government’s claims to be fulfilling international obligations on climate finance and are veiled behind a system that experts have slammed as opaque. The cutting and partial closure of the Β£100m Biodiverse Landscapes Fund, intended to protect nature in vital ecosystems in poor regions overseas. Six regions were originally targeted, in Africa, South America and Asia, but this has been reduced to two. Coast – a project for Climate and Ocean Adaptation and Sustainable Transition – and Pact (Prepare and Accelerate Climate Transitions) are having substantial cuts. The future of the Β£500m Blue Planet Fund has been thrown into doubt despite its successful operation. Other schemes have been reduced in scope, for instance by allowing only one year’s funding where years were expected. Requests for data under the Freedom of Information Act have revealed spending has been slashed among the departments responsible for international climate finance (ICF). Continue reading...

Did you hear Barry G talking about Arsenal grabbing players... Like it's only Arsenal? So rubbish. A simple example here... least they can do is talk neutral.

Same, bugs me more than it should be too.
Love that it is winding up rivals, but worried that all that narrative is going to go against us, when refs lean into it.
Like when Pep, Rodri made some noises and all of a sudden 115 started getting meaningful calls.

Yeah and there was nothing the other way around.

The narrative is somehow it's only Arsenal doing it and they should be punished. Don't mind if they are talking impartially but this is rubbish.

Just win the whole damn thing Arsenal, don't give a feck how.

And to all those who say,
- Good that Arsenal recognise the importance of set pieces *BUT*...
- Boring, ugly, grappling, WWE, unwatchable
- spirit of the game, rule change, quality of league
- etc. etc. etc.

I think some of it is dictated by Neto and Palmer's average positions too but thought Trossard had a really weird game.
Not where Arsenal would like him to be on the pitch.

Guess we haven't been that reliable in the midfield, easily bypassed.
Fatigue is obviously a factor, Rice, Zubi have played more than 3000 mins already.
There are multiple reasons obviously including being a bit more open.
More so I'm hoping we can offset this somehow.

02.03.2026 12:20 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah I agree, but I think we have played much better in CL, and domestic cups than league in that stretch.
We are still good, and that's why we are still leading.

Hope my napkin math is correct -

β¦Ώ Arsenal had 13 clean sheets in the first 16 games (I know unbelievable)

β¦Ώ Since then we have 9 clean sheets in 29 games
