Oh absolutely, writing quite literally saved my life. It really can help, and thats why narrative therapy exists! I was a little scandalized when i found out, bc wdym MULTIPLE THERAPISTS never mentioned it despite my lack of response to years of talk therapy?? I even told them i liked to write 😅

Thats an excellent idea. Reading quality books really can train you to see patterns in successful storytelling. It can help you instinctually know how compelling stories are told, even if you cant quite verbalize the rules yet

Hey there! I can tell your goal is to make this setting really descriptive, and you've def done that. I would recommend eliminating some repetitive descriptors, though. Dirty clothes, shades of brown, and filthy hands are all conveying the same idea: he's positively filthy from traveling.

Yep. Been there done that 😭. Sometimes it's tough to figure out what story you actually want to tell, and what's just window dressing. If you ever want someone to bounce ideas off of, that's kinda my jam 💜

This has nothing to do with writing but it's a fun fact, and I am chaos, so: did you know that you can rupture a snail's internal organs if you pry them off of a surface? Apparently, you need to tap their shell so they'll "let go" of the surface before you relocate them. Anyway hope you enjoyed lol

Whoa. You gotta be careful w that shit, I already wrote 500k words of discovery writing and 500k for my planning/worldbuilding docs. Dont tempt me...I'll do more 😂. I dont think im your intended audience tho 😅. (Nobody panic, the WIP is 135k words, it's FINE. Everything is FINE. Except my wrists.)

Oh hi! I do a few different things. Dev editing, worldbuilding logic audits, beta/sensitivity reads, and writing discussions/coaching/live edits! I did just create it, but I love helping people bring their stories to life, and I received good feedback from the folks I helped. So I'm giving it a go☺️
