Nazi Billionaires was worth the read. It follows the money that funded the Nazis and how it impacts our economy to this day. It was also about the relationships of some of the most powerful Nazis.

It is also a reminder that wealth should be taxed.

I read 4 books this weekend. I am back.

Maybe when those three kids remember this time, they will remember that there were helpers who wanted them here, in their homes. A whole community stepped up to keep them in school, feed them, and remind them that they belong here.

Maybe, just maybe they will remember something good came from this.

I will be proud of the small ways I helped kept people safe in their homes. I can’t help everyone, but for three kids I can show up for them. For those three kids, my car can be a place of joy from this chaos.

Mutual aid is more than money. It is building community through shared resources.

When I talk to people who are not as active in this space it is like I am in a different reality. I don’t get how you can look away from this. When I am asked in 30 years what I did during this time, I will know that I helped three kids get to school. I delivered groceries. I donated when I could.

I just delivered groceries to a family I have been helping for a few months now. That is how long 🧊 has been terrorizing MN.

Mutual aid is a reminder that our fates are tied together. Me and my friends are not rich but we are doing everything we can to house, feed, and take care of our neighbors.

I am in the middle of three books and I have not finished a book in two days. This is a very bookish problem to have.

But I have time. I give rides. I show up. I pack groceries. I deliver them. I am involved in my community.

That is what makes this city special. We love living here bc we like each other & know each other. We pitch in where & when we can. No one can nor should do it all. We do things communally.

I never want a friend to worry about not being able to hang out with me bc they are broke. I have puzzles and snacks. We can make food. I always have rice and something to cook.

If you want community, you need to show up. I can’t always give money. In fact, it is rare I do bc I am not working.

One thing I love about the people I have in my life is that we live in community. We feed each other. We do things in our community. We go to the mutual aid art shows. We show up to caucus. Community is who we are. We are building the world we want by embodying it right now.
