There are two things that we should be doing. Don't waste time with petitions or email.
1) The best thing you can do to be heard is to have face time. Go to their local offices.
2. Make calls to your congressperson so that they know how you feel. If they are "on our side" call to say "Thank You!"

We’re in the second Gilded Age just like the first — when America’s wealth was in the hands of a few, money corrupted politics, and working people were abused and exploited.
It can be easy to feel discouraged, but the first Gilded Age teaches us lessons on how we can fight back.
