For nearly a year, ICE and Texas DPS covered up an ICE shooting that left San Antonian Ruben Ray Martinez dead. His family deserves justice and the public has the right to know the truth.

Educators go above and beyond every day to keep students safe, supported, and ready to learn. When ICE keep students from class, it’s educators who step up to protect stability and belonging.

Refugee released by Border Patrol found dead, sparking outrage Surveillance video obtained by The Post shows Border Patrol agents releasing the partially blind refugee, who went missing for days before being found dead.

Nurul Amin Shah Alam, a partially blind refugee, was picked up by Border Patrol on Feb. 19. Agents later left him alone in the parking lot of a closed coffee shop in Buffalo, NY. Days later, he was found dead.

Horrific and unacceptable.

Nurul Amin Shah Alam came here through legal pathways, fleeing religious persecution and genocide.

Instead of the safety he was promised, he appears to have been abandoned by federal immigration agents -- blind and alone on a freezing cold night.

Today, I - along with Rep. Pramila Jayapal, Ranking Member of the Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement Subcommittee, and 22 other Members of Congress - sent a letter to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons calling for the immediate closure of Camp East Montana.

DHS should shutter the El Paso ICE camp, @repescobar.bsky.social & Dems said, noting at least one of the 3 deaths there was in part to 'poor medical care by staff.' Another a homicide involving staff. ICE alleged suicide in a third, but won't release the autopsy.
