Then why's he trying it, with government stakes in Nvidia and Westinghouse? Who's the commie, really?

So much of what hits the news is difficult to believe. Truth certainly is stranger than fiction these days.

It'll be the official venue for influence and corruption. The name for it should be obvious.

Isn't it clear that it's going to be for bribes and extortion? Actors, foreign and domestic, that seek to influence policy, will go there first.

Living in the real world is just so hard... so they build an imaginary world of false stories, where other peoples' risks are marginalized and ignored.

Worse, the people at risk believe it, to pretend they live in that world of all reward and no risk, when they and their own groups pay the costs.

The record warmth in the Pacific has hit six sigma certainty. We are responsible.

How many sigmas of certainty are we up to now, that the weather impacts we're seeing can only be possible because of human emissions?

The Koreans are doing a great job on EVs. Hope we keep getting them here.

How are you finding the safety features on the EV9? The ones on my 2020 Ioniq EV are just good enough to be a bit annoying. I'm curious to see where they go in the next decade and more.

This is what Trump refers to as strong leadership. Most of us call it a war crime.

haven't we seen this movie before? How many horror movies start with the bad guys killing all the smart people- the ones that could solve problems that arise in the second half of the movie?

Such senseless destruction of the innovation and energy independence we're capable of, and ready to step into. πŸ˜–

We the people must unite behind a clear understanding of Senator Murphy's incisive analysis:

I find this naive. Invite an arsonist, expect a fire.

No administration claiming to want to restore US manufacturing jobs and help the middle class would end these programs. Tariffs can't drive manufacturing growth anywhere near this fast. It's a clear giveaway their goals aren't what they say they are.

Congress is not only failing to fulfill their oaths of office to the Constitution to set the budget, but they're ceding their authority to Trump and his minions. They are spectators in the destruction of our representative democracy.

And it makes us less free. Trump's administration has been a constant assault on our Constitution and our Bill of Rights.

The people Attorney General Bondi is calling β€œterrorists” have had no trial and no chance to defend themselves. We do not know who they are. Ignoring the Constitution does not make us safe. It puts us all in peril.

Given they're willing to send innocent assylum seekers to for profit prisons in a completely different country (not ours, not theirs), run by the most brazen, cruel mercenaries in that country, I wonder if any of the deportees are criminals or gang members. Why believe MAGA minions?

Senate Democrats can’t surrender. Make sure your senator votes NO on cloture and doesn’t cave on the extreme MAGA spending bill. πŸ‘‡

Neville Chamberlain says hello.

Musk is already shutting down the government. Courts are standing in his way. With a GOP budget passed into law, he'll have that law on his side. When will Democrats use the Constitutional tools they have? Susan Collins can't be your role model!

And whatever mistakes they make are an added bonus. Incompetence breeds more cruelty, which is the point.

The problem is that entropy is easy. It only takes a few broken people to ruin a civilization. It takes the rest of us working together, against them, to save ourselves.

MAGA views this through the lens of effective pack hunting dynamics. The truth is it's a sign of profound weakness, and inability to manage multilateral relationships and complex problems. Every action works to Putin's benefit.

Even more, how Americans are more poorly served, less secure, less healthy, and less safe, without those civil servants, or anyone in their place, able to do all the jobs that need to be done for all Americans.

I suspect the likelihood of the fires starting in the first place were only 35% greater, but the scale was multiples larger as a result of high winds overlapping with the dry season.
