Apparently today is DID Awareness Day. That’s what others are saying. But we wanted to say that we don’t mask, we write about this so others aren’t alone.

Estimates are that there’s more than 1% of the world’s population that has DID and more have OSDD/p-DID. No one really researches our disorder and there aren’t even many therapists who cope with high level trauma disorders. We can understand why. Who wants to talk to someone who was trafficked

Jade: We wouldn’t say that we have scrapped the whole chapter. We’ve sometimes disassembled a chapter and scattered the parts later on. We have scrapped sections, sometimes losing 1000 words at a time, but no, usually we don’t scrap an entire chapter.

Jade: “I swear, he wanted us practicing in the nude. The pendejo just wouldn’t listen about how impractical it was until he took off his own clothes and it was ‘ewwww’…did you know that most of us exorcists are lesbians, btw?”

It was still important. It was still wonderful. And we love that chapter so much because it has some sweetness to it.

Rosie: We often write chapters after a huge emotional revelation or a huge amount of new information which would be considered ‘filler’ except that they’re there to provide a break. It’s helpful. One of these chapters was our three FMC’s having time together doing quiet things.

Rosie: Very, very true. This is one of the comics that has, somehow, survived forever.
